I initially chose the University of Chicago for its prestigious reputation and its location in a renowned, world-class city. The university excels in cutting-edge advancements and pioneering research in the field of biological sciences. However, I have been pleasantly surprised by the invaluable mentorship offered by the BMB program and the unparalleled flexibility in selecting a research lab. This collaborative and supportive environment allows me to work at my own pace and pursue endeavors that truly resonate with me. Moreover, as an international student, I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have found a compassionate and understanding community that provides assistance and support extending beyond academics.
